Confirm Users Procedure

Navigate to GA My Apps – AWS SSO.

Access your AWS Accounts (you may have more than 1).

Select the specific account and then select Management Console

If setup correctly you should see the Console Home page displayed.

Once you have visited the four key components – these will come up in your ‘Recently visited’ frame and your Home page will look like this.

Key Workflow – Assess Registration Request

and Confirm User

Assess whether to approve the registered user.

1. Compare user details with pre-supplied ‘Contributing data partner request form

2. Verify user (identified in AusSeabed email – newuser-signup-admin-notification, Subject: ASV CDP – Data manager assessment for New registered user) is from an AusSeabed community organisation and verify the email address . Obtain additional contact details. File responses.

3. If Approval is to be granted navigate to AWS Cognito

Navigate to Cognito

There is currently only one User pool. Select this.

The new user should be displayed in the User list with a grey highlighted Unconfirmed status

Select the user and press the Actions button at the top right hand position in the frame.

Select Confirm account

Re-confirm

The status will changed to a Green highlighted Confirmed.

The user will be sent an automated emailing Confirming their registration and ask them to Log in the Data Submission Service.

Navigate back to the user pool and check the account is Confirmed.

This process is now complete and the rest of the User driven Data Submission process will continue.
