Visual Inspection

Check for Artifacts: Carefully inspect the mosaic for artifacts such as striping, seams, or shadows, which can result from improper corrections, beam pattern issues, or overlapping swathes.

Uniformity: Assess the overall uniformity of the mosaic. Look for sudden changes in backscatter intensity that do not correspond to known seafloor features, which might indicate processing errors or calibration issues.

Seam Analysis: Examine the seams between adjacent swaths or sectors. Ideally, these should be seamless; any visible lines or inconsistencies suggest the need for further normalization or correction.
