Commonly Reported Issues
Uploading large data packages is slow.
A. The console is utilising your internet connection and while many users have a high performance download speed to stream data, they often don’t have an equivalent pace in their upload speed. Please check with your internet service provider to assess whether the upload pace is reasonable for the service that is being utilised.
B. Uploading data from a USB connected drive will be further limited by the performance of its connection to your hardware. C. You can improve performance for data upload by using the AWS Command Line Interface. Instructions for its use can be found here. Some of my data upload has failed.
A. As the console is an internet hosted interface, this issue is likely a result of your internet service dropping out/loosing connection during the upload. The recommended course of action is to verify that the data has not been uploaded and try again OR try to upload over a more robust connection. This is often a problem if data is being uploaded over a Wifi connection or mobile broadband service.
