An example of a successful ‘Request Approved’ email

Hi [firstname.lastname  (Organisation)]

Congratulations! You may now proceed with logging on to the site

using the credentials you registered with. On successfully logging in, you will be presented with a "Verify your email" screen, while this can be skipped, you will be prompted at each login. When you verify your email you will receive an OTP code in your registered email inbox. Please complete this process as soon as practical.

Following the above, you will be directed to a landing page with further instructions. Please bookmark these links for later use.

The login process is important as this step, initiates automatic processes that creates your account in our Cloud environment along with a personalised storage bucket. The process also generates, a further email containing your new Cloud credentials and storage bucket name. With these details you can use the instructions found on the landing page to upload your data package.

When you are have received your Registration Approval email, please navigate back to the Sign In page

https://www.datasubmission.ausseabed.gov.au/ and Sign in using the username and password you registered with).

Make sure you select the Sign In Tab rather than the Create Account tab

Logging in, is required and may take a few seconds before proceeding to the next screen. This is due to the initiation of a series of automated procedures that:

  • seeks to verify your email address (see screen below)

  • generates a personalised AusSeabed Amazon s3 storage bucket. and applies the necessary security

This storage bucket and your credentials will only remain active for 30 days. If you require longer please contact AusSeabed@ga.gov.au

  • sends an email containing your unique AusSeabed storage bucket name and credentials.

Note: Your AusSeabed Contributing Data Partner credentials on the other hand (that you self-registered with), will not expire and can be used again for further data submissions. Following a completed data submission or an expiry of Amazon account credentials your personalised storage buckets are deleted. Each subsequent Log in at https://www.datasubmission.ausseabed.gov.au/ will auto-generate a new personalised storage bucket and credentials along with an email containing these details.

7

The Verify email screen will appear as follows.

This is required if you need to recover or reset your password.

8

Although this step can be skipped, it will re-appear at each login. Please complete this step as soon as practical.

  • Select the email radio button and press Verify.

  • You will receive and email seeking the verification, upon your reply the system will be updated to reflect the email has been verified.

9

Upon progressing past this Verification process the following Land page will appear.

Arriving at the Landing page means you have made a successful connection and initiated the automated procedures.

Please read the Instructions for uploading data to AusSeabed and bookmark some of the links for later use.

The next email you receive will have all these links, along with your unique storage bucket name and credentials, to allow you to make a connection using your preferred software and commence uploading your data.

Note: The software you selected to connect to the AusSeabed AWS s3 bucket should allow the utilisation of the Amazon s3 Transfer Accelerator capability (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/transfer-acceleration-examples.html ), although we have only tested this with AWS CLI and Cloudberry Explorer for Amazon s3.

Reminder, unlike the persistent username and password your registered as an AusSeabed Contributing Data Provider (CDP), this personalised storage bucket will expire in 30 days. This should be long enough for you to upload your data and for the AusSeabed team to assess the incoming data and migrate it to the AusSeabed Clearing House and Archive.
