Survey metadata must accompany all subsidiary datasets at all data levels (Raw L0, Processed L2, Gridded L3).

Metadata can be provided to a Contributing Hub, in a number of digital formats (.txt, .csv, .xls), for the immediate future until the AusSeabed Data Register and submission tool has been developed and released for public access.

Directory Conventions

Within \SurveyDocs:

  • the Survey Metadata record

  • The ASB Authority to Distribute Form (for Contributing Data Partners only)

  • Pre-Acquisition\Mobilisation & Platform\Vessel Configuration Reports

  • Post Survey Reports

  • Line Geometry (Ship Track including Transit details)

  • Polygon Geometry (Entire Survey not just for the data supplied)

 

All reports should be supplied in Adobe PDF format. A Survey Report template can be found at AusSeabed Record Templates

The Survey reports should include a list of the equipment and software used and version.
