The AusSeabed Data Hub publication schedule is updated for two reasons:

  1. Throughout the publication process, the status of a data set may be updated.

  2. As new data is added to the AusSeabed Data Hub, a re-prioritisation process will be undertaken to ensure the most relevant and valuable data is being prioritised.

The publication schedule will display a rolling 30 day forward plan for data release, as well as maintain the previous 2 weeks of ‘published’ surveys.

Process of updating the Publication Schedule

The Publication Schedule is a Google sheets that can be accessed by CSIRO and GA employees to update surveys that will be published via the AusSeabed Marine Data Portal

  1. A short weekly meeting is held between Marine technician/bathymetry technicians and CSIRO technicians to discuss: Priorities, Surveys, publication dates, and status and ensure dates and status are correct and up to date.

  2. A review process (should) happens to ensure all surveys are captured in the Publication Schedule (3 monthly?)

    1. All new surveys are captured in this process and assigned a priority based on the list here

  3. When surveys are updated Double check the AusSeabed website tab to ensure text is centre-justified, and correct filter on the Estimated date of release column is selected (2 weeks before and 4 weeks in future of current date).

  4. Once surveys have been published for 2 weeks, move the row in the Master sheet, to the Published sheet
