Background

The AusSeabed program outlines 3 program themes, one of which is the development of a “data hub”“Data Hub”. 

Geoscience Australia (GA) is the lead organisation of the data hub Data Hub program theme, and this is a primarily infrastructure/systems focused theme. 

The data hub AusSeabed Data Hub is being developed as a multi-component suite of services that are underpinned by a federated data storage model, with each connected data store being referred to as a “local “contributing hub”. At the time of writing, there are two local contributing hubs under development, one at GA and one at CSIRO. 

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to act as a document map for the other content contained within this google drive. As is the case with any data centered system, there are a number of policies, processes and forms that support the operation of its systems.

Outlined below is a document map to show the documents currently developed underlying documents that provide the foundational policies and processes for the way that the AusSeabed Data Hub relating to the movement of data through the GA Local Hub.
