Acquistion Title is the name or the Survey/Cruise/Voyage or Acquistion known by the data acquirers. For consistency Ausseabed may attach an additional name that will ultimately be displayed on the Marine Data Portal as a Layer Name.
Acquisition Code is a unique identifier again often proided by the data owners or acquirers. CSIRO use a vessel name code, a year and id number to differentiate their acqusitions. e.g in2019_v01 - RV Investigator 2019 Voyage 01. AusSeabed will allocate an additiona identifer know as the GAID if data is supplied to Geoscience Australia for storage, processing and publication. This code uses a template based on Year Seq number and a Code to differentiate Survey Acqusitions and Compilations. e.g 20230001S
